The May Mary As program will be on Zoom. There are 20,000 indigenous people from the state of Oaxaca in Southern Mexico who live and work in Ventura County. The Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project's (MICOP) mission is to support, organize, and empower the indigenous migrant communities on California's Central Coast. MICOP is also the home of Radio Indigena, 94.1 FM, one of the first radio stations with programming in Mixteco, Nahuatl and other endangered indigenous languages from Southern Mexico.

Arcenio Lopez is the Executive Director of MICOP and will be the featured speaker at the May meeting.
