Our second Channel Islands CLUSTER service with our Worship Host MaryBeth East presenting the service live in person and a sermon on video from the outgoing minister of the Live Oak UU Congregation in Goleta, the Rev. Tamara Casanova Suzuki. At our UU General Assembly last year, delegates voted in support of an Action of Immediate Witness, calling on all UUs and congregations to “stop voter suppression and partner for voting rights…”. Today, as we live into our fifth UU principle, we look at the state of our democracy regarding voting rights and actions we can take to uphold the democratic process.
