The Spiritual Growth Center at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Santa announces a Silent (mostly) Retreat on Saturday, November 4 from 9 AM to 1 PM in the building and on the grounds of the church located at 740 E Main Street. Have you ever gone on a retreat? Want to try to be mostly silent for half a day? Come learn or deepen your practices Meditation teachers Rev. Maddie Sifantus and Jim Cole and try yoga and Chi Gong with Lisa Hammond. The retreat will include several sittings of different types of meditation, walking meditation and singing meditation. Potluck lunch at 12:30 PM; please bring something to share. Bring a yoga mat and blocks if you have them. $10 donation payable on the day of the retreat. One of these Principles affirms our intention to accept one another and encourage each other’s spiritual growth.
