Service: Transformation and the Ethics of Change with Kate English and MaryBeth East
Day and Time
Sunday Nov 17, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AMDetails
Kate English continues her series of talks on the newly adopted Unitarian Universalist values with Transformation which calls us to open our hearts and minds to change, embracing the opportunities it brings for spiritual and ethical growth. As we enter the next phase of our church life, we are invited to deepen our understanding of our congregation, ourselves and the world, evolving with compassion and courage. Together, we create a community that nurtures transformation, where every change is a step toward more justice and love.
Guest at Your Table
(November 17 through December 22]
This year we will be participating in the annual Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) Guest at Your Table fund raiser. During the holiday season our thoughts turn to Thanksgiving and people around the world and in this country who need a helping hand, whether it is for disaster relief, food scarcity, education for their families, human rights, including women’s issues and gender equality, and environmental issues. Guest At Your Table is personal. We are encouraged to think of a member from one of these communities who would share a meal with us and tell us about their life and hopes. Reverend Betty will tell us more about UUSC on November 17th. Gifts of $150 will be matched.
Parking is available on the street in front of the church. In addition, there are a limited number of parking spaces behind the church in the alley-way. A handicap accessible entrance with an electric lift is available on the east side of the building next to the side entrance.
