Service: The Practice of Compassion

Day and Time
Sunday Dec 1, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Details

Compassion is a key element in our second principle, “Justice, equity and compassion in human relations,” as well as our second source, “Words and deeds of prophetic people which challenge us to confront powers and structures of evil with justice, compassion, and the transforming power of love.” Many who come to Unitarian Universalism do so because they find “like-minded” people, religious liberals in an illiberal world. The bigger challenge of our faith is for us to become “like-hearted.” Compassion is an essential element in this faith journey. First Sunday of Advent. Led by Rev. Maddie Sifantus with Karen Harris, Worship Host.
